Dear Angharad and Amy, Please don't hate us but we met up to discuss the project today and thought of something that we all got quite excited about....
After hours of brainstorming we went back to the drawing board and thought about what it i we are actually all about and we thought we were all about IDEAS.
We thought, a simple way to promote ourselves in this way would be to set up a hotline for people to go to when they need ideas for a project.
We will get a cheap pay as you go phone which will only be there for incoming calls really.
Set up an email address.
We will make flyers/call cards with the details on and post them around college and all university of the arts colleges, put them in phone boxes, send them to design agencies and people we want to know of us. We also said possibly make an advert and put it on things like youtube.
It will be called "Dial-a-muse" ...
so what do you think? Its simple, says what we are about, will promote our work- we can set up a website with details of work we have done or are doing, showing our own ideas and showing how we can help them with their own ideas.
Replying to emails won't be hard, and we can put opening times on the phone line so it doesn't take over our lives completely. It will be so much easier to organise and get off the ground than finding things like funding/licences etc for stalls.
I hope you find this idea well and don't want to kill us for changing the idea again. Writing the proposal will be easier too as we don't have to look into funding, sponsors, venues etc. If we need any funding the college may like the idea. like the nightline thats advertised on our college passes.

Hey, erm I agree on the cheaper and easier thing, but I think it's a bit maybe arrogant of us to think that other people would want our opinion and help/ideas. Also there's the whole thing of us giving our ideas away and getting no credit for them. I do however like the hotline idea, and the email thing. Sorry!! You can shut me up if you want but that's just my impressions of it. I also don't think it very challenging or pushing us in anyway. Again, sorry!!
