Hey, so I was wondering where we go from here?
Are we doing our allocated work for the project over christmas and coming together in the new year with designs and ideas etc? Or maybe sharing stuff on here or making a new seperate blog or something?
Post Family is a site i found, thought the sort of template of this fit our idea? A collective with their own seperate identities within the site. Thought we could think about this template when creating our site.
Can we start using this blog just a little more maybe??

Proposal so far..
(It just did crazy font sizing on my last post. NOT MY FAULT! SORRY!)
As the collective group 'Dial-a-muse', our aim is to make ourselves known to design agencies and our creative peers as visual thinkers with innovative ideas.
We would like to create a forum in which ideas can be shared and used as inspiration to other people in their own personal projects.
We intend to set up a hot-line and an e-mail address where people can contact us with their ideas and ask for our recommendations or advice on any projects they may have.
We would like to set up a website showcasing our own individual work to help people see what kind of work we produce as individuals, to allow people to ask a specific member of the team a question. We will set up a phone line where one or more of the team can be contacted at any time to discuss an idea. We will set up an email address as a collective group where we can all receive queries and respond as quickly and effectively as possible.
To promote 'Dial-a-muse' we will produce a call card or flyer with our hot-line number, e-mail and web address on. We will target people such as design agencies by posting our call cards to their offices and will try and get students, like ourselves involved by posting them around all the University of the Arts colleges.
(please edit and add to where you want. I will try and write more with Sarah tomorrow.. now..x)

Meeting Wednesday 19th November
Dear Angharad and Amy, Please don't hate us but we met up to discuss the project today and thought of something that we all got quite excited about....
After hours of brainstorming we went back to the drawing board and thought about what it i we are actually all about and we thought we were all about IDEAS.
We thought, a simple way to promote ourselves in this way would be to set up a hotline for people to go to when they need ideas for a project.
We will get a cheap pay as you go phone which will only be there for incoming calls really.
Set up an email address.
We will make flyers/call cards with the details on and post them around college and all university of the arts colleges, put them in phone boxes, send them to design agencies and people we want to know of us. We also said possibly make an advert and put it on things like youtube.
It will be called "Dial-a-muse" ...
so what do you think? Its simple, says what we are about, will promote our work- we can set up a website with details of work we have done or are doing, showing our own ideas and showing how we can help them with their own ideas.
Replying to emails won't be hard, and we can put opening times on the phone line so it doesn't take over our lives completely. It will be so much easier to organise and get off the ground than finding things like funding/licences etc for stalls.
I hope you find this idea well and don't want to kill us for changing the idea again. Writing the proposal will be easier too as we don't have to look into funding, sponsors, venues etc. If we need any funding the college may like the idea. like the nightline thats advertised on our college passes.

Proposal proposal proposal
So as I think we have now come up with our proposal idea we now obviously need to write our proposal. Apparently we were meant to be in some sort of tutorial about it yesterday which no-one knew about which is a shame because it probably would have helped as they haven't really given us much info about this thing so far.
The point at which we've now arrived is that we'll have a market stall on which we screenprint t-shirts, letting people interact with this activity by choosing a design and printing it themselves (for a small reasonable sum i assume??). The designs would be individual ones by each of us as to what I've gathered from our conversations. So, along with this we'd be selling our own handmade merchandise which would tie in with the printing, i.e books with the designs on the cover, maybe some sock monkeys especially for Ella, basically we'd make stuff to our strengths, but to create a sense of identity I think tying stuff into the designs would maybe work well?
I was discussing with my housemate aswell and she mentioned the idea of branding, like our designs would sort of be our brand and people would be buying into it and becoming followers of our brand and stuff.
I think aswell that we discussed creating a website displaying our merchandise and could also use this as a shop or direct people there that come to the stall. Maybe flyers, little catalogues, etc sorry just thinking out loud with this one.
I hope I've covered everything we've discussed or mentioned or blogged. I know we haven't all been there so obviously there's going to be a need for further discussion and fine tuning but from general feeling I assume that this is our idea yes??
Hope everyone's all good.
